Jim Dinou is a Chicago-based keyboardist and composer. Although quite knowledgeable about his own synths, is still a bit of a luddite when it comes to music technology. Perhaps the only person left on the planet who still uses 3.5" floppies, his workspace is flooded with hundreds of these dinosaurs of data... each one in various states of decay. Ironically so, it seems, as they are the bedrock for his band, Impossible Recording Machine's (IRM), musical landscape.
